IMB is an independent ship's International Classification Society dedicated to provide classification and statutory certification services to ships and other marine structures, with the objective of protecting the environment and life at sea.

Our activities consist of the application of Rules and Regulations for the design, construction and operational maintenance of ships as well as marine related structures and the subsequent verification of these Standards.

PORT STATE CONTROL

IMB produces publications on the Port State Control inspection regime of the Organisation. The publications aim to give an inside in the Organisation's inspection regime through statistics, analyze the results and provide support in order to improve fleet quality.
